Frequently Asked Questions: New Students? We are not taking on new students at this time. We are still an active Lyceum however, and continue to serve our active students who are currently studying with us. Top Payment Methods?
Paypal, U.S. checks, money orders and bank drafts are accepted for tuition payments for members who live in the U.S.A. If you live outside of the U.S., you will be required to pay through Paypal.com. (Please see the information directly below.) Our Lyceum also an account with PayPal.com, a free online payment service that accepts credit cards and/or direct transfers from bank accounts. If you prefer to pay through this method, please check the appropriate box at the end of our Lyceum contract. You will be sent the URL to make your tuition payment when you are accepted in our Lyceum. This option is only available to members who have email and Internet access. Top Time Requirements? We offer a completely self-directed course of study. You may take as long as you need to complete as many Paths as you wish. An estimated time of completion for each Path is approximatly four months: three months to complete the three courses in each Path, and one month for the FOI ritual. However, there is no set schedule to follow, and many students take longer than this due to their busy schedules. You set your own timetable based upon your individual needs and may take as long as necessary. Top Being a Solitary? In the Fellowship of Isis, a Vocation is individual to each Priest/ess - it is between you and your Matron Goddess to decide on exactly what this will be for you. It is not required to go out and "minister" to others, unless that happens to be your personal Vocation. We have many students who are solitaries for a variety of reasons: personal choice, physical challenges, family responsibilities, etc. Each have their own unique contribution to offer to the Goddess and Her Divine Plan, and all are welcomed in the FOI Priesthood. Top Travel Requirements? We are an all-correspondence Lyceum, and at no time will you be asked to travel. Our correspondence center has been designed so all courses and rituals may be done as a solitary practitioner. We have students from around the world who take our courses in the privacy of their own homes. Top Online Courses? At this time we do not offer our courses online. All courses and rituals are sent by regular postal mail and carried out in the member's own home. Top Age Policy We are sorry, but we do not make expections to our age policy. You must be at least 21 years of age to study with our Lyceum. Top Refunds? Because course materials are received up front, Path tuition is non-refundable. Any monthly membership fees that have been paid in advance, will be refunded when a student requests their membership to be canceled. For those who wish to "try out" our Lyceum before making a full commitment, we recommend our Trial Membership. Top In order to be an active member of our Lyceum you are responsible for paying for each Path individually, as well as a monthly membership fee. There are no additional charges or hidden costs. Each Path is completely self-contained and there are no additional books or materials required. (We do publish various booklets for the Fellowship of Isis of which our Lyceum members receive a discount. These booklets are not required.) Also, your tuition rate is guaranteed to remain the same as long as you are an active member of our Lyceum. Please see the Requirements & Tuition page for complete information.
